There are many aspects to a college football game that typically go unnoticed, so we decided to capture the many different angles of the University of Arizona football community. This community includes thousands of people, young and old and we wanted to capture glimpses of them all. First, there are the band/flag line members who get the crowd going and provide enthusiasm. There are also all the tailgaters who wake up at the crack of dawn to set up camp and take pride in the upcoming game. And finally, the cheerleaders who cheer on the players and keep the fans in the game. We also wanted to capture the traditions that are followed during the game, like the key shaking before kick-offs. Our goal was to capture the overall energy and we accomplished that by not staging any of the photographs but instead capturing the subjects in their natural state. This is a diverse community full of energy and team spirit, coming together, every weekend, for one common goal--victory!
